Management Accountant

My client is entering an exciting growth phase, as such they are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their team and contribute to their strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO (former Financial Controller), this role is perfect for an ambitious professional eager to grow alongside the company. This role would suit both an industry or practice trained candidate

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary on Actual vs Budget.
• Perform month-end tasks, including journal preparation (prepayments, accruals, etc.).
• Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage cash flow and bank reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements, develop analytical tools to control costs, and enhance financial reporting.
• Oversee Inventory Accounting, ensuring accurate valuations, cycle counts, and resolution of system issues.
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation.
• Support annual budget development, monthly forecasting, and target setting.
• Create and maintain management dashboards and KPI reports.
• Prepare statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, VIES, Intrastat, and manage filings.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications / Experience

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ATI) with 3 years of industry experience.
• Proficient in ERP/accounting software.
• Skilled in MS Office, with medium to advanced Excel and strong analytical abilities.
• Able to work independently with a focus on process and system improvements.
• Positive, flexible, and solution-oriented.
